2025 Houston Regional Air Quality Summit

Join us to explore solutions for improving air quality in the Houston-Galveston region.

2025 Houston Regional Air Quality Summit

GC-CPEH co-sponsored the inaugural Houston Regional Air Quality Summit, held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the Cullen Building, Baylor College of Medicine. The event was co-hosted by the FIFA World Cup Houston Host Committee Sustainability Subcommittee.

Building on the momentum of Houston’s upcoming role as a 2026 FIFA World Cup host city, the Summit convened community members, policymakers, industry leaders, and youth advocates to explore innovative strategies for cleaner air and healthier communities across the Houston-Galveston region.

This free, full-day event featured dynamic sessions, real-time collaboration, and forward-looking approaches to air quality monitoring and public health. As the first step toward an annual gathering, the Summit laid the groundwork for lasting regional action, measurable improvements in air quality, and stronger environmental health outcomes.
