Career Development

The GC-CPEH plays a key role in enhancing the careers of new investigators and supporting career advancement and professional development of environmental health scientists. Below are details of activities organized and coordinated by the GC-CPEH Administrative Core as part of the Center’s Career Development Program:

  • Enrichment activities for new investigators, including: Mentoring Breakfasts, workshops, and hands-on training for technologies that advance research of junior faculty and new EHS researchers
  • Preferential financial support for utilization of the GC-CPEH Facility Cores
  • Inclusion of “career impact” as scoring criteria of Pilot Project Program funding to prioritize junior faculty and EHS career development
  • Leadership opportunities through the GC-CPEH Career Development Program
