Turn the Tide Public Health Campaign

Turn the Tide Public Health Campaign

In response to the alarmingly high COVID-19 case numbers at the end of June/early July, we organized a virtual discussion to allay community fears by enabling a frank community discussion between community members and senior UTMB leadership.  Turn the Tide: Do Your Part in Preventing the Spread of COVID-19 was held on July 2, 2020 including panelists Mike Mastrangelo, Director, Institutional Preparedness Program; Gulshan Sharma, MD, MPH, Vice President, Chief Medical and Clinical Innovation Officer; and Lauren Sheer, Assistant Vice President of Legislative Affairs. Panelists discussed the current state of COVID-19 policy, healthcare, and preparedness and public health.  Over 120 community members participated in the live broadcast, which was recorded and is available online for future viewing.
